Immigrants are your equals

Hey beaner, get out of my country! Beaner is a derogatory slang term that most Americans use to make a Mexican feel unwelcome. They are not the only one’s feeling unwelcomed by this country, most South Americans, Indians, Chinese, and Africans experience the feeling of being incompetent in this country because of Americans and their way of judging someone based on the how they look. Now tell me is that any way to judge a person, just remember that we should never judge a book by its cover. I know that sounds cheesy but it’s true, we always seem to jump to conclusions and think some people are just not worthy of being in the same country as the Caucasian Americans. Illegal Immigrants are a good thing in this country and they deserve citizenship because they benefit the economy, they are the most hardworking people you will ever meet, and they need this chance to work in the land of opportunities. I know that some immigrants have done some wrong and broken some laws because that’s just who they are right? Most people would agree that the immigrant is the enemy that is only capable of being a criminal but that is not true. I know many immigrants have turned into criminals but that’s just how they have grown to be from their country, and we should not just think that if one immigrant is a criminal then all immigrants are criminals. This is a thought that most Americans keep in their head and that is why immigrants are not worthy of being in this country.
The economy is benefiting so much from the hard work of immigrants. They are a great contribution to the economy. Immigrants share a total of 14.7 percent of the total wage, salary, and business proprietor income of the US. This is about $743,436,509,990 of contribution to the US and that number is growing. Immigrants are the most hardworking people you will ever meet. They wake up and never miss a day of work because they know what they have and they cherish it. They work for less, they work longer, and worst of all they work in the worst conditions but only because they know that the job they have is the only thing that gives them an opportunity to live a good life. Americans believe they are only here to steal their jobs but the jobs they have wouldn’t be theirs in the first place if Americans weren’t so lazy and only work under their own terms. Nobody knows the problems they have faced back in their home country. Today is a time of violence and most of the countries that immigrants run away from are full of violence. You don’t know what they had to do, the pain they had to endure, or the people they have had to lose, so why do you discriminate them. Immigrants are no disgrace to this country, they are the light of this country, just look at Charlotte, isn’t it a beautiful city with big lights and buildings, well most of the men in my family helped build all that beauty you see in down town.
Most Americans seem to look down at them but I just don’t understand why. We are all God’s children so what makes you different from me? What makes you think that you are better than me? We are equal in God’s eye, so don’t look down at us, look at us as your equal because that is all we are, that is all an immigrant is, an equal.

Should they be illegal?
By: Eleonora Elardo
About 4% of U.S. populations is composed of illegal immigrants. From 1990s the annual number of unauthorized immigrants in the U.S. started has grown but in recent years it has stabilized between 10 and 12 million. They are not just from Mexico, but also from India, Philippines and more. Of course most of the immigrants are from Mexico, in fact 62% of these people are from that country, but all other countries also make up a small percentage: El Salvador 5%, Guatemala 4%, etc.
Sounds like there is a lot of people right? Well we have to think that most of the immigrants, especially from Mexico, are illegal, but why? They should just come and be welcome in the United States but our government and some of us still think they should not. They should be legal and become citizens of this country with green cards, etc. because they may get away from a bad situation or may need a chance for a better life and they hope that America will give it to them. It’s not easy live in their countries but they come here and not be able to be a citizens. They should be welcome into this country and we should help them, because even if we don’t want them in the country doesn’t mean we can not understand them to be happy to help them.
There are a lot of examples of people who live everyday afraid to be deported or they just want to live their life without feel like a mouse in a box who can’t do anything. This is the witness of a woman who said that her husband has been here for 9 years but he arrived illegally so they still live scared every day that their 6 months old daughter risk to live without her dad because he was deported in Mexico. Is this correct? Is right that a young girl has to risk to lose her dad because he arrived here illegally? After 10 years in the U.S. he should be considered a citizen of this country and instead he still can not get a license. it’s not right live like this. This is just one of the thousand example that I can give you, but there are more and more.
People who arrived here legally have anyway a lot of years to have their green card, same for the illegal aliens. There no differences and our government don't care anymore, for it they are just immigrants and not U.S. citizen. So is all this right? Living scared to be sent back to the birth country? Can’t have a license just because you are not a citizen but you have lived here for more than 10 years? Risk every day your life in the U.S., maybe a good job or your family? We should stop and think about it, because no one wants all this, no one wants to live in this way. We should just help them to get their rights because they have lived near us for ever and they should be recognized like U.S.’ citizens. So, do you still think they should be sent back or are you starting thinking that they should be legal?

Ban illegal immigration

Illegal immigration is a major problem for the United States of America. Illegal immigration is when someone permanently staying in a country without official permission. Anyone who migrates to a country and stays permanent without any legal form of identification is an illegal immigrant. The U.S. is one of the top countries who has the highest number of illegal immigrants. There are many reasons why someone would want to immigrate to another country. One reason would be religious freedom. and another might be opportunities as in the United States, there are millions of job offered. According to Wikipedia the illegal immigrant population of the United States in 2008 was estimated to be 11 million. That means the US is the home to 11 millions illegal aliens.
Most of the illegal immigrants are from Mexico, Central America, and Africa. The highest number of illegal immigrants is from Mexico. Every day thousands of illegals stream across the 2,500 miles of border with Mexico. According to the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service, the total number of illegals in America increases by 275,000 per annum. About three-quarters of these illegal immigrants come to the United States crossing the US/Mexico border. Others overstay their visa. This illegal immigration leads to many disadvantages to the country.
Illegal immigrants are taking away jobs which Americans deserve. According to the Journal of Sociology & Social Welfare, some experts believe illegal immigrants undercut wages, add to the national debt, and take away jobs from other Americans. So do we want our jobs to fall into the hands of illegal immigrants? No! Also, the low-skill immigrants do not pay their fair share of the public provided education and medical services they consume. Others argue the exact opposite, saying their economic contribution provide a financial benefit to the United States. Illegal immigration has also resulted in increased crime rates. Peter B. Gemma says "75 percent of those on the most wanted criminals listed in Los Angeles, Phoenix and Albuquerque are illegal aliens. And one-quarter of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals and over 53 percent of all investigated burglaries reported in California, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona, and Texas are committed by illegal aliens."
One might argue that the immigrants are people after all and that they should not be discriminated even if they come illegally into the country. They should not be sent back to their countries. There are many people who came here at the age of 4 or 5, they even don't know they are illegal immigrants and today some of these students are getting higher educations. If we send them back what about their education and career? But rules are rules, they have broken nation’s immigration rule. So, there will be no special path to citizenship for individuals who broke our nation's immigration laws – that would be unfair to those immigrants who have immigrated legally and have legal documents.
So, it can be concluded that illegal immigration is a serious threat to the United States and it should be regulated as soon as possible.

Immigrants are Help

Illegal immigrants should not be forced out of this country. Illegal immigration is one of the reasons rips families apart. I prefer calling “illegal immigrants” undocumented immigrants. The word “illegal” captures our attention while immigrants fades away in the background. Immigrants are people who flee their countries because of drought, famine, disease, war; looking for peaceful place to live, better job opportunity and a good education.
I am an immigrant so I know first hand how it's difficult it is to fit in another country and society. You leave everything behind your family, your friends and your way of life and come into this different country. I’m a legal immigrant and I have a tough time trying to blend in; Imagine if you're an undocumented immigrant, your whole life will be a constant road of fear.
A study done in Dartmouth shows why a student get good grades in school “Students that get good grades are students who attend class on a regular bases and are active in class ”. Imagine how hard will it be to concentrate when you are living in fear that you might get caught and deported. This type of burden should not be put on a children. Kids are supposed to be kids they should play, have fun and as any child make mistakes. Trying to not make mistakes is an adult's job but kids should make mistakes and learn from them and grow at a normal rate. This is not the case with undocumented immigrants they are asked to have a clean record. Children are expected to understand thing beyond their age. This could lead to gangs, drugs, violence and other illegal behaviours. Some politician say that undocumented immigrants are more likely be involved with illegal situation and that's true, but I have a question for people who say this type of thing to immigrants “How can you expect so much while giving so little?”. Undocumented immigrants can not get a driving licence, no health care nor can they get a legal job. Despite all this problems there are advantages of them being here the Washington Post has said “undocumented workforce that has stabilized during a period of economic recovery even though they are still limited by language barriers, poor education and legal status and clustered in low-level occupations.” . Some will rise above this statistics using that anger and frustration into becoming one of the most respected people in there high school(valedictorian). Last year 2 valedictorians in Texas came out about their legal status.Mayte Lara Ibarra delivered a valedictory speech at the David Crockett High School and later tweeted “Valedictorian, 4.5GPA, full tuition paid for at UT, 13 medals, nice legs, oh and I’m undocumented,”, Larissa Martinez revealed her status in her valedictory speech and got a scholarship to Yale University. This girls are one of the examples that anything is possible.
Isn’t it what America stood for? The foundation on which America was built on is being denied to immigrants today. The first American President, George Washington said “ America is open to receive not only the opulent and respected stranger, but the oppressed and persecuted of all nations and religions; whom we shall welcome to a participation of all our rights and privileges…”. The United States Department of Homeland Security has estimated that 11.4 million unauthorized immigrants lived in the United States in January 2012. According to Pew Research Center only in the Obama administration 2.4 million have been deported.
11.4 million is not just a number, there are families, children, and there are faces behind these numbers. Although Obama has attempted to help children who were brought here by their guardians illegally as a minor can get receive renewable 2 years deferral from deportation this act is Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). Immigrants are here to better their lives and better this country so let's give them a chance.

Flooding Our Country
By: Cooper Allen
Illegal immigration causes much more harm to our country than the good it does.
With the recent election, illegal immigration has become a hot topic of debate among many in the United States. It has become the main topic of discussion in many debates and is referenced constantly by the new president, Donald Trump. While many may not agree with the measures the president is taking, these people are being just plain ignorant to the facts of the harm that illegal immigration does to the United States.
Crime is a major factor of the harm that they cause our country. Illegal immigrants are the perpetrators in a very large amount of crimes committed in the United States, and this number is much too high when compared to the percentage of the population that they are. According to Daily Wire, Fox News conducted a study, and they found that illegals are three times as likely to commit a crime as the general population, yet they only make up about 3.5% of the population. This is outrageous.
As well, many of the crimes committed by these immigrants are heinous, and include rape, murder, kidnapping, and drug possession. According to that same study done by Fox News, illegal immigrants are accountable for 12% of murder sentences and 16% of trafficking, and a total of 13.6% of all crimes. Illegal immigrants also accounted for almost 75% of federal drug sentences in 2014. Along with all this crime comes the Cartel, who thrive off spreading fear and causing terror.
Illegal immigrants also come in and drain state budgets. They come into the country, and they take advantage of public services that use taxpayer money, but they pay little to no taxes themselves due to the fact that they aren’t registered as citizens.
Every year, many United States citizens, especially those with a lower level of education, lose their jobs to illegals. This is because they are doing jobs that don’t require much knowledge to perform, and these undocumented immigrants need jobs too. They will perform these jobs for less than regular citizens, because they have to be payed in cash so it isn’t reported to the IRA, and often times they even perform them at less than minimum wage. This creates a very unfair job market, as minimum wage is nearly impossible to live off of as it is. So not many people want to work for cheaper.
Recent trends have shown where this comes into play. According to Dr. Steven A. Camarota, Director of Research at the Center for Immigration Studies, there are about 58 million working age Americans out of work. This number is tremendous, and the recent influx of immigrants isn’t making it any better either. As of November 2014, there were 1.5 million less working native-born Americans than there had been 7 years before. In that same time period, the immigrant workforce in America increased by nearly 2 million. Americans were losing jobs while immigrants were gaining them.
Illegal immigrants have started to become more and more of a burden to America, and they cause many harmful effects on the economy and in crime.
